I'm on a little bit of a roll with dresses and skirts these days. The most flattering styles on me are either super short or just past the knee. I love the shape of this dress because it's fitted at the waist and short so it gives the illusion of longer legs. Once I got these Marc Fisher heels I couldn't wait to wear the dress because I love the two checked prints together. I'm getting excited for the Kentucky Derby and this could be the perfect dress for the occasion, I still need to find the perfect hat though!

I really do believe in color therapy. It's still quite gray around here with only small glimpses of spring popping up, but this patch of daffodils around the corner from my house makes me smile every time I pass by. The trees are slowly starting to blossom with pretty pinks, yellows and reds and the grass is getting a little more green every day. I got this plaid tank top from Shopbop not only because it's plaid but the bright colors instantly put me in a happy mood when I put it on. I keep reaching for skirts lately and this midi skirt style is quickly becoming one of my favorites. I think I might need to add a few more to my closet. I put a few of my favorites below. Happy Tuesday! xx

I don't know about all of you but I'm going to assume that we're all having a major case of the Mondays right about now. Some of you might have the day off in which case lucky you! It was absolutely beautiful here over the weekend and we finally got the chance to enjoy what is starting to feel like Spring. Saturday was filled with walks and dining al fresco soaking up the sun with friends. Of course Sunday was all about brunch. We were sort of all over the place so I wanted to be comfortable. I ordered these floral trousers from J.Crew (on sale) and assumed I'd just save them for next winter until they arrived and I realized that they were perfect for Easter! Now I'm tempted to get the matching floral print sweater and matching silk blouse. I love a good print mix, and pairing this daisy print sequin tank with these trousers is such a fun combination.  What did everyone do this weekend? Happy Monday. xx

I was a late bloomer when it comes to Mad Men. My friend introduced me to the show when we were living in LA a few seasons in, and after one episode I was hooked. The fashion on Mad Men makes me want to teleport right back to that era. Everything about fashion during that time was so chic and polished and effortlessly cool (well probably not effortless but you know what I mean). When I saw this shift dress by Darling I immediately fell in love with it. I am not one to typically love the shape of a shift, it can be a very tricky style to pull off. This dress though, falls at just the right length and the sleeves and floral appliqué add that mod 1960s vibe I love. The shades are from good old TJ Maxx and the clubmaster mirrored lens style is one of the hottest trends for spring. Oh and did I mention this dress has pockets? Yeah, enough said. Happy Friday! xx

With Easter only a few days away it's time to start thinking about what to wear (unless of course you don't celebrate Easter in which case it's still fun to think about what to wear to something fun over the weekend). I'm more of a pants girl though lately I've been wearing lots of dresses. Florals are fun for spring and these trousers are an easy chic alternative to a skirt or dress, particularly if these temperates don't warm up (I just picked up this pair from the J.Crew sale)! Pairing them with a silk blouse untucked but buttoned up lends a casual but glam feel to the ensemble. I could not resist these statement earrings from J.Crew because not only are they so pretty but they're comfortable! I can't wear many earrings because the heaviness hurts my ears but these are just perfect (and they're 30% off right now!). We're going to a casual brunch for this Easter Sunday so I might actually be wearing a version of this outfit, but the weather has been doing funny things so we shall see! Tell me what you're wearing this weekend, or are you not even thinking about that yet?!
